    Services

We offer a full range of professional services, including a fully-equipped workshop and computerised bike fit. Click down for all the info.

    Workshop

We service all makes and models of bicycles in our fully-equipped workshop. If you have any questions, or special requests, just ask!

    Ride Safe.
    Ride Smooth.

Our workshop is a little bit different. Sure, we service pro teams. Sure, we can talk tech all day long. But we also understand that all that is beside the point. What matters is minimising time in the workshop and maximising your time on the road (or trails) and the quality of your ride.

    FAQs
How often should I get my bike serviced?
It really depends on how much riding you are doing , but a good rule of thumb is at least once a year. If it's a new bike, you should bring it in after the first 10-30 days for a quick tune-up once it has been 'ridden-in'.
How long should my chain last?
Good question! It can vary depending on how often the chain has been cleaned/maintained, but, if looked after, a good road chain should last between 2000 - 3000km of riding.
How can I find out more?
You are welcome to drop by the workshop anytime and talk to the team - otherwise you can aways call or email (see details above). We also run a range of skills workshops - get in touch with the workshop team for all the details.

    FAQs
What is a Giant demo day?
Simply put, the best way to test out a Giant performance bike! We pick a stunning location, roll out a fleet of the latest performance road and/or mountain bikes - and invite you to come out and take them for a darn good spin. Then hang around for a BBQ, talk shop with our mechanics or pick up some tips in a master-class. Sound good? Registration is just a click away...
    How much does it cost?
Giant demo days are free of charge. We provide the bikes, and mechanical support. All you need to do is organise your transport to and from the event (get in touch with us if you'd like to connect with other participants and car-pool). Please note that the BBQ is now by gold coin donation (all proceeds go to support track building in the local area).
    When is the next one?
All upcoming events are listed above (you can 'slide' between them). If you can't find an event on a date that suits you, or there are currently no events scheduled, please get in touch with us and we'll try and sort something out for you.
    How do I register?
Select the event or bike you wish to book in for (above), which will bring up an online booking form. If you have any questions, or need some help, please get in touch with us by asking a question on the adjacent form.
How many bikes can I test?
Generally, we like to follow the '2 bikes per person, per day' rule - to make sure everyone who wants to have a demo can get one. If we have spare slot on the day, you are always welcome to hang around, book them out, and take a few extra bikes for a spin.
    How do I get there?
Each demo day is at a different, exciting location - and usually a few klicks out of town. Generally, you will need to organise your own transport to and from the event, via private vehicle. We are more than happy to try and connect you with other participants if you need a lift - and will let you know if there are public transport options. For more information, check out the event details above.
    What if it rains?
Generally, the demo day will only be cancelled or postponed if heavy rain is predicted. We will contact you if the demo day needs to be postponed for any reason.
What do I need to bring?
The bare essentials you need to bring are: an Australian Standards-approved helmet and a current Australian driver's license or credit card to ensure you can ride. You might also like to consider bringing your own pedals (if not Shimano SPD or flat pedals - we've got plenty of those), some suitable clothing for mountain biking, plenty of water, some snacks (we'll provide some as well), sunscreen and/or wet weather gear (just in case it turns nasty). The better prepared you are, the more fun you'll have - get in touch if you need any more info.
    What about us roadies?
We haven't forgotten about you. Most of our big demo days have a mountain bike theme - and are based out in the bush. However, on some of them we bring the road demo fleet along and curate ride of varying difficulty (climbs, descents and cornering). More than a demo, it's an adventure - get in touch if you'd like to know more.
    Can I bring my bike?
Of course you can - it's a great way to A/B different bikes and get the most out of the event. Unfortunately we can't provide mechanical support for your bike (unless we have some spare time, keeping the demos running generally ties us up) - and you assume full responsibility for the security of your bike during the event.
    Can I bring my kids/family?
Absolutely, they are more than welcome to hang out with us at the base camp while you tear up the road/trail. Otherwise, the whole clan is welcome to hop on a demo bike (provided they're big enough to ride the bikes) for some family fun.
Do I have to be a good rider to come along?
Absolutely not! Anyone can come and demo the bikes - regardless of your riding skill level. We can take you through the basics and be on hand for some tips/tuition to make sure you get the most out of your day - and the bike. This process can start immediately, you can get in touch with us anytime for some helpful pointers and opportunities to come for a ride.
    What if I'm under 18?
No problem, we'd love to have you along. The only catch is you need to be able to fit/ride the bikes comfortably and have a parent or legal guardian in attendance to sign the liability waiver for you on the day.

Peter rode his first Giant, a Boulder SE, over just about anything he could find.

From there he's ridden MTB across Europe and California. Pete's always had a passion for moutain bikes and the freedom they give - and he's still hooked on that rush. So it's only natural he finds himself on a custom Giant Anthem XC bike which he's currently 'breaking-in'.

    • Alice King
      Alice King

Alice has spent over half her life riding and racing all things two wheeled.

A former top New Zealand track and road cyclist, she's now gone to the dark side, tearing up the tracks off-road. You'll find her singing aloud to the music in-store, or out leading Liv/giant social women's road and mountain bike rides. Not surprisingly, it's all about the coffee.

    • Frank Hall
      Frank Hall

Frank is hard-core; from his undercut to his reluctance to ever touch a roadie, he bleeds MTB.

But he also has a soft, creative side - he likes to build trails you like to ride. He's travelled the world building trails, working as a tour guide and, well, riding his bike. He even worked as a professional trail builder in Cairns preparing the World Cup course. You're welcome.

    • Geoff Nash
      Geoff Nash

Geoff is the go-to guy around the store and resident encyclopaedia.

With a wealth of industry experience his latest interests include coaching and performance - meaning the rest of us are already lining up for tips. He can also proudly claim to have toured by bike through North America, Europe and, wait for it, from Perth to Sydney (4800kms). When asked to describe how that trip was he simply said 'tough'.

    • Danny Sokac
      Danny Sokac

For Danny riding is all about freedom and the mechanical efficiency of a bike.

So it is no surprise he is one of our senior mechanics! Also high on his list is 'that' feeling of conquering the hill faster than your mate and the hearty pub feed after a big ride. In the workshop he's affectionately know as 'MacGyver' for his ability to solve seemingly unsolvable mechanical problems. Outside he's know as the 'blur', racing up the M7 or M4 for gloating rights.

    • Dave Robertson
      Dave Robertson

Dave's super fit and looks great on the bike - but he never much got into racing.

What he did get into, however, was being a darn good mechanic. As the other guys in the workshop will tell you, his attention to detail is legendary, as is his saying 'safety is never sexy'. Put them together and you'll be glad your bike is in his hands. He also wanted you to know he can play his guitar behind his head. Nice!

    • Grant Kaplan
      Grant Kaplan

Our leader and MD, Grant got into cycling when he decided to ride around the world.

He only got half way, but still got to ride the Raid Pyreneen and Mount Ventoux, as well as finding himself in the Middle East, Canada, then back in Sydney. Unfortunately, he now spends more time behind a desk than in the saddle, so don't be surprised if you see him at the back of the peloton.

    • Jordi Zandstra
      Jordi Zandstra

Jordi is the store manager of Giant Sydney - and the driving force behind the team.

Originally from Holland, he now calls Sydney home, and can often be seen cycling down Anzac Pde on his way to the beach. Jordi keeps threatening to get into triathlon where his strong run and bike might just cause an upset or two!

    • Dave Hawley
      Dave Hawley

Dave adds the colour to the store; that one-of-a-kind charisma.

He likes to ride for fun and fitness and told us it reminds him of his childhood - before cheekily adding that this may or may not have included escaping from the cops back on his trusty pushie. When not on the bike, you'll find Dave indulging his passion for the outdoors - fishing and boats.
