This proprietary braking system offers powerful, aerodynamic stopping power. A composite reverse-position front brake and seatstay-mounted rear brake are hidden from the wind. The system also features strategic trailing edges that further improve aerodynamics.

CNT Technology
CNT Technology
Carbon Nanotube Technology refers to a microscopic polymer added to Giant’s custom-blended resin. Acting like miniature buttresses, CNT particles strengthen the layers of composite. Frames treated with CNT are 14 percent more impact resistant than those that are not.

Ridesense
Giant’s all-new chainstay integrated, wireless data transmitter. The fully integrated, removable transmitter sends wheel speed and cadence information directly to any ANT+ compatible computer.

Integrated Seatpost
Integrated Seatpost
As the pioneer of the integrated seatpost, Giant continues to improve its original design with lighter weight (approximately 45 grams of weight savings, compared to a standard composite seatpost), improved aerodynamics and an even greater “tuned” forgiving ride feel.

Fusion Process
Fusion Process
Advanced SL top-tubes are “grafted” to the seat-tube using filament winding and co-moulding. This complex process involves hand weaving the two tubes together, then re-moulding the area under heat and high pressure to unify the junction - resulting in a lighter, stronger junction than with traditional moulding.

Powercore
A massively oversized bottom bracket/chainstay area features a fully integrated, 86mm-wide BB design. Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the drive-side and stability on the non drive-side.

Aerosystem Shaping Technology
Aerosystem Shaping Technology
Data compiled from Computational Fluid Dynamics research and wind-tunnel tests was used to optimise the shape of every frameset tube and junction for overall system aerodynamics.

Continuous Fiber Technology
Continuous Fiber Technology
This manufacturing process allows Giant to construct the front triangle of Advanced SL bicycles with larger -and therefore fewer- sections of composite material. With fewer pieces and junctions, the frames are up to 100 grams lighter and significantly stronger.

Contact SLR Aero Bar/Stem
An oversized box-section stem, designed for torsional stiffness and tuned for vertical compliance, is seamlessly integrated into a full carbon handlebar. The integrated aero handlebar top profile maximises aerodynamic performance.

Overdrive 2
Giant’s innovative oversized fork steerer-tube design increases front-end stiffness and enhances steering performance. The tapered steerer and oversized bearings (1 1/4-inch top, 1 1/2-inch bottom) boost torsional steering stiffness so you can sprint and corner with supreme precision.

We offer a male & female-specific fit that takes into account your body type & ability. Our staff then use this information to ‘dial in’ your bike until it fits just right.
